How It Works
Scope Medical is a provider of Independent Medical Exams and Medical Record Reviews. We hire a network of physicians and market their services to our clients, insurance companies. We typically book a physician’s time 6-8 weeks out and have them go to one of our facilities for a set period of time (i.e. 4-7pm in our Stoneham office). We would schedule 6-10 patients during that period of time.

The physician interviews each patient, reviews any medical records that are available and performs a physical examination. They then release the patient and dictate their findings to a toll free dictation service. We provide a format to follow and each case will have specific questions to be answered. When the transcription is completed (usually 24 hours) we email the report to the physician for review and electronic signature. Periodically we need physicians to simply review records and dictate a report following a format we provide.
